What humanity really needs is an honest exposure of the truth and accountability for what has happened. Only then can human beings move ahead with dignity. Hurt needs to be spoken and heard. It does not just go away on its own. This can then lead to “restorative justice,” which is what the prophets invariably promise to the people of Israel (see Ezekiel 16:53; Isaiah 57:17–19) and is exemplified in Jesus’ story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11–32) and throughout his healing ministry. We lose that and we lose the Gospel itself.

Hi Everyone,

What a breakfast this morning, what a Preprimary Assembly, and what fun all round! Again, record numbers for breakfast shows Rose and her P&F posse continue to do great things which proclaim to many many people at Holy Rosary. It is so good to see such amazing support for your hard work. Congratulations!

Congratulations also to our Preprimary Gang - the assembly was a hoot!

What a way to start a day. It paves the way to a great weekend!

More fun next Friday with our Year One gang entertaining everyone. Look forward to seeing you then.

Best wishes

Mark

A Couple of Reminders

Supervision After School #2

There has been a significant shift with everyone offsite soon after the 3.05 bell. Thank you so much for adhering to this.

Our only lingering concern is with some children playing on playgrounds after school while waiting for a sibling to finish sports training. However, the numbers have really reduced significantly which we appreciate. Only a few final reminders to go.

Library News

Thanks again to our wonderful community for a fabulous Book Week. It sure was a week full of fun library activities culminating in the Parade which I hope you all enjoyed.

Congratulations also to our Senior Chess Champions Nathan, Sam and Monty who received their trophies at assembly today.

Congratulations to all of our Art winners from kindy to year 6 – Grace, Dario, Isabel, Julia, Sebastian, Alexis, Olivia and Isaiah – your art was spectacular!!

It’s been a lovely gentle week in the library, getting ready for Fathers Day and practising some mindfulness with a mind scan helping us to look at our big thoughts and reminding us to look for the glimmery moments in our day.

Have a great weekend,

Mrs Butson

After a busy Book Week, the library was a place of reflection and mindfulness. The students practiced a mind scan, looking closely at their thought bubbles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70j3xyu7OGw

and we talked about finding the glimmers in our day, rather than the triggers.

Newman College is holding it’s next Parent Information Session on Monday night. These are very useful, convenient and inexpensive and I have really enjoyed the previous sessions.

The information is below.

To join the canteen fun (it is not hard or scary) please email admin@hrs.wa.edu.au or text Leanna on 0414 953 958.

Volunteers needed for the Sports Carnival BBQ

Volunteers are needed. If you’re attending the carnival and can spare even 30 minutes please get in touch with Leanna so she can organise the roster - 0414 953 958.

There will be an option to order a sausage sizzle and juice for your children through the canteen app the week of the event. Parents and spectators are welcome to purchase on the day (EFT available).

**Important Note** don’t forget to put your child’s faction colour in the notes, as all sausage sizzles and drinks will be delivered to the faction tents .

Rather than having the children run up and down to canteen for ice creams etc we will be selling slushies for $1 each.
