Things to Be Aware of:
- Congratulations to Mr. Ashment and his Robotics Teams for the amazing RMMS representation at the competition last Saturday (December 2nd). Both of his teams are headed to the state competition. Congratulations to our wrestlers as well! They competed this last weekend, had several conference champions, and took 2nd overall. Good work and thank you to Coach Banks, Coach Shackett, and all of the parent volunteers that made for a successful year! (We know other groups and teams have been doing amazing things all year too, so we apologize for not putting anything about them in the newsletters before. We are trying to get better about recognizing and getting the word out as amazing things continue to happen with our students and school. Moving forward, if you have something to brag about, let us know. We will be happy to get the word out! Honestly, there are so many good things happening, it is hard to remember them all, and we don't want to forget or leave anyone out!)
- As you can tell, the temperature is dropping and winter is upon us. For your information, we are required to complete one fire drill randomly per month. Please remind your child to dress warmly as they will not be stopping by their lockers as they exit the building. If possible, layers are key for them to stay warm while outside. We always try to complete these drills as efficiently and quickly as we can.
- We are trying to improve our social media and communications presence as a school, so if you participate in social media, make sure to follow us on Facebook (Rocky Mountain Middle School Family & PTO), Twitter (@RMMS_Panthers), and Instagram (RMMS_Panthers). The Facebook page is our PTO page with a lot of followers and great information already. Our Instagram and Twitter accounts are new. We will be attempting to cross-post as many things as possible, so as great things are happening in our school each day, we can let our community know!
