Raider Record

How are we doing?

Hello Raider families, this is BHS Asst. Principal Chris Carlson. Every year, Bellingham Public Schools asks all our families, all our staff, and some students in grades 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 to check in on what we’re doing well and what we can improve on.

The link below will take you to the family portion of the survey.

Bellingham Schools Family Survey

Then, using a computer or a smartphone, please complete by Friday, Nov. 22. The link is available on our website under “News.” The language of the survey is adjustable and can be taken in Punjabi, Spanish, Vietnamese or Russian. All your responses are anonymous. None of your responses are linked to you or your child.

You can also access the survey via the QR Code.

If you have any trouble getting to or taking the questionnaire, please contact our office at 360-676-6404. Thank you in advance for taking the time to assist us in learning more. We appreciate your time and hope to hear from each and every family.

Have a great weekend and thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback.

Warmly,

Chris Carlson

2019 Raiders Read! - Fall Reading Challenge Returns to BHS

On November 6, we kicked off the reading challenge with 20 minutes of school-wide silent sustained reading during Raiderade.

All students who read 20 minutes (or more) a day for 20 (or more) days can enter a drawing to win a Village Books gift card or other great prize. The Raiderade with the most days read per person will also win a popcorn party.

Parents and guardians can't win prizes, but you can join in the fun and help support your students by: asking them about the books they are reading, encouraging them to read for 20 minutes each day, checking on their reading progress by viewing their bookmark, and/or making your own bookmark to track your days read in November.

Keep on reading!
