January 2016

Can you believe it is 2016 already?

Welcome Back!

We hope you had a wonderful holiday filled with family and friends. It was a nice break for both of us! It was fun to hear all of the holiday stories from the kiddos today. It sounds like everyone had an amazing time! We are THRILLED to have everyone back! We missed our babies bunches! :)

Upcoming Events

4th Grade Field Trip - Washington on the Brazos

We have a field trip planned for next Friday, 1/15/16, to Washington on the Brazos State Park. Please look at your child's Monday folder (sent home today) to find the permission slip. Our visit will include a visit to Star of the Republic Museum, Independence Hall, and Barrington Farm. We will leave at 8:30am and will return before the end of the school day. The cost of the trip is $3.00 per student. If you would like to chaperone, the cost is $9.00. Please sign and return the permission slip and money by Monday, 1/11/16. Thank you!

Report Cards

Report Cards for the 3rd six weeks will be sent home next Monday, 1/11/16. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. Thanks!

Aggie Dream Team Reading Log

The Aggie Dream Team Reading Log is due by tomorrow if your child chose to participate. They had to read a total of 450 pages in order to qualify for Aggie Basketball tickets. Please make sure that all initials, etc. are on the packet before sending it in. Thanks!

Reading Homework

The ELA homework packet was handed out today. Because we just handed it out on Tuesday, it will not be due until Friday. The packet also has a 60 min required reading time instead of the normal 100 min. We hope that helps!

UIL Students

If your child is on a UIL team, they will be gone from school on Thursday, 1/14/16, for the UIL Meet. A note went home today with lots of information. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!
