From the Principal's Desk...
Thank you to everyone who was instrumental in making our Open House a success. The Open House Committee did a fantastic job with planning the logistics of the day, marketing the event, and organizing all the volunteers. Our parent and student tour guides did an amazing job showing off our school and providing vital information to our prospective families. We also had many other volunteers in the building from athletics, PTO, the SJB cafeteria, before/aftercare, and our School Board who helped showcase all the opportunities we have to offer at St. John’s. I received compliments from multiple families as they left our campus, so thank you to everyone who played a part in the success of the day.
The Local 12 video was released earlier in the week. If you haven't already had a chance to view it, you may either watch it below or visit our Facebook and YouTube pages. We encourage all families to share the post so that we can spread the word about our school. I emailed out the link to all teachers so that they could share the video with our students. I am so proud of our students for how they cooperated during the filming of the promotional video.
Catholic Schools Week is in full swing! The students are loving all the activities planned by the committee, especially the candy! The committee must be doing something right since the students got a 2-hour delay on the day we celebrated our students! Tomorrow, we will celebrate Mass as a whole school. Students are permitted to be out of uniform if they dress in their “Sunday’s Best.” We will end the week with our 8th grade vs. Faculty volleyball game on Friday before our 12pm early release. Thank you to all the families who have generously donated to the two service projects that we have running during Catholic Schools Week. We will be able to help many families in need with your donations.
Thanks and have a great night!
Sincerely,
Courtney Weinheimer
