Attention parents who may be interested in remote learning for the 2021-2022 school year!
As we plan for the 2021-2022 school year, we are reaching out to families to determine the level of interest for a remote learning option for next school year. BTCS has operated a successful virtual high school since 2012, and due to the circumstances of the past year, we have had the opportunity to positively support an even wider grade span of students in online learning.
While we are confident and excited that our schools will return to normal, pre-COVID operations, we are also gauging the interest for ongoing, online learning opportunities for our students. Therefore, in order to assist with planning, we are asking parents who might be interested in a remote learning platform for next school year to complete the following survey.
First of all, you only need to complete this survey if you are interested in a remote learning pathway for your child(ren) beginning in August 2021. Secondly, remote learners MUST have internet access at home. You can include all of your children on the same survey. However, only list those children interested in a remote option.
While nothing is definite, the remote learning pathway will likely be mostly asynchronous for grades 6-12 and a combination of synchronous/asynchronous for grades K-5. This survey will not be used to indicate your final decision. Once parent feedback is gathered and plans are developed, you will have the opportunity to indicate your final choice for the school year prior to the beginning of school.
The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, April 2.
