Wednesday's Rewind

A look back, some time to reflect, and a look ahead...

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays to you and yours! I feel very blessed to work alongside such a dedicated staff. I hope you enjoyed the Holiday Breakfast this morning! As mentioned, it is just a small token of my gratitude for the work you do each day to provide our students with relevant and meaningful learning experiences. Enjoy your time off and we will see you again in 2016!

2015: The Year In Ideas

Watching this video provided even more clarity for me as to the importance of providing students with new and relevant learning experiences that will prepare them for their futures. The work that is currently being done throughout the world is truly amazing! While these advances are extremely exciting, it can also be scary to think about what this means for future generations. As you watch this video I would like to ask you to reflect on the following:

  • What thoughts came to your mind when watching this video in terms of the instruction/experiences you provide to students?
  • How have advancements in technology altered the skill sets needed for students to be successful in the foreseeable future?
  • What experiences in your classroom have done the best job in preparing students for their future?
  • How could you improve/enhance current learning experiences for students to better prepare them for their future?

It has been so exciting to see the advancements in the experiences we are providing for our students at MES. Thank you for the work you have done and continue to do.
