Week of February 17, 2014

English Language Arts

Miss Warnke: We will also be discussing different types of text structure for informative information. We will practice identifying them in informative text and practice writing some of the different styles.

Mrs. Allen: We are focusing on chronological order. Students will read non-fiction texts, pick out key terms, and practice writing using time order words.

Ms. Naze: Students are creating a group project on Point of View. Achieve focus is main idea. Students are spending time on grammar skills with Mobi Max.


Math 4: This week we will be looking at the relationships between equations, graphs, and tables. We will learn how to write and graph inequalities on a number line, and we will work with solving equations.

Math 7, 8: This week in math we will finish up Unit 6 on volume. Our test is scheduled for Wednesday. After the test we will be starting unit 5 which focuses using variables to write and solve algebraic equations.


We will be reviewing speed, velocity, and acceleration. We will also be starting Section 2: Forces.

Social Studies

Students are finishing their debate the US involvement in WWI and starting to look into the time period between WWI and WWII.
