Babysitter Safety Course
Saturday Class - with Optional ADD-ON Pet First Aid Course
Participants will learn skills involved in caring for infants, toddlers and young children.
Learn to be safe and responsible. Build your confidence and have a competitive edge over other babysitters. Topics include: first aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with mannequin practice, choking, dealing with difficult behaviors, basic care methods like feeding and diapering, marketing and much more!
Please bring a lunch, snack and beverage (and a cellphone if they have one). Students who successfully complete the course requirements are certified in Babysitting Safety, CPR and First Aid. For Ages: 9-17. Location: Banks Middle School - Media Center
Parents: Class ends between 2:00pm and 3:00pm depending on when the course requirements are completed.

Kids, would you like to learn pet first aid? Increase your competitive edge by being more valuable to families with pets and kids. Increase your market by being certified to watch pets or kids. Learn to care for the pets in your own family. Have fun and help keep animals safe.
THIS IS AN ADD-ON class for students in the Babysitter Safety course. This program will begin after the Babysitter Safety class ends. Class should be concluded by 4:00pm, depending on when the babysitter course is completed.
STUDENTS WILL NEED: additional snacks and a stuffed animal with realistic features to practice skills.
