Principal Message

It is hard to believe we have completed our first progress report period. The Progress Reports were sent home on Tuesday. It is always a good idea to review the grades with your child to help set goals for the remainder of the nine weeks Report Card.

The teachers have also been busy establishing structures, procedures, conducting the Beginning of Year (BOY) Assessments, and getting to know each child. They will be scheduling a parent conference with each of you to review those assessments and discuss any other details with you.

The school is very active and this year we have several after school activities available for the children. We will also be adding a Chess Club in the near future.

A very special Thank you to the PTO for your continued love, support and assistance with the school. A few of the things they have already done during this short time is; pass out school supplies, breakfast for the teachers, BooHoo YeeHaw, Red Wagon Parade, Tailgate Lunch!!

So much!!

We appreciate you all,

Megan Burnham

A Big Hearfelt Thank You

Thank you to our awesome 4th grade parents who provided a tailgating themed luncheon for all the staff! We enjoyed nachos, meatballs, fresh veggies and of course, yummy desserts! We can't thank you enough for all you do!

Our challengers are off to a busy start! As a friendly reminder, Dance Thru Life on Mondays will be released on the bus ramp. Choir on Tuesdays will be released in the front of school. • Clip must not be expired, and
  • Clip must contain expiration date and product ID

Please keep clipping!

Counselor Corner

This year we are excited to combine our monthly character traits with our new house system.

During the month of September, we are talking about Respect. There are many ways to be Respectful - at school and at home. Here are a few below.

We have also created a Tree of Respect in the hallway. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders completed an apple of what respect means to them to hang on the tree.

Mark Your Calendar - Ride Night at Chick-Fil-A

Please join us for Ride Night at Chick Fil-A located in front of College Park High School on 242 from 5-7 pm on September 24th. A portion of our proceeds will benefit our amazing PTO.

Please join the Ride Parent Teacher Organization (“PTO”) which meets the second Thursday of each month at 11:30 am. PTO has a new website: www.RidePTO.com. This month's meeting is this Thursday, September 19th at 11:30. Hope to see you there!
