Save The Wolves
They aren't the problem, YOU ARE!
How many tales have you heard as a kid about wolves? They are always the bad guys, and many still do believe they are. The fact is, more than 1000 wolves are killed in Alberta yearly alone in hopes of protecting caribou while we are the ones building on the Caribou grazing grounds and destroying precious territory. Now are the wolves still the bad guys? If so, keep reading.
Only 3% of Canada is wolf protected, and most of the time the wolves never even enter these areas. If wolves are continuously being killed, it will affect the entire habitat. Most caribou that wolves kill have defects, and most likely will not survive another year. Just one caribou can feed a wolf for weeks. So now think to yourself, are wolves really the problem here?
IS this what you want?
Lush forests that were once home to many animals including wolves are now being destroyed by man to "Hit it rich". Now wolves have no protection against predators and are exposed to prey. When you look at Canada you see wildlife, prairies, mountains, but do you see big factories? If we want to keep Canada, we also need to keep its wildlife.
In Alberta today, there is only about 4200 wolves, and the numbers are rapidly declining. If we don't stop soon, wolves will be extinct. If this is our view of wolves today, imagine what our world will be tomorrow. We are the problem, all of us, we all want to prosper, gain money and keep Canada safe, but what the government is not seeing is that we are destroying habitat that is crucial to wolf survival.
