New year...same focus
1. Read, read, and read some more. This is such a crucial time in your child's development and we want to read as much as we can to them. Nightly reading of their books is so powerful. You may think that they have memorized their book. Sometimes, they have. This helps with fluency and their ability to read without stopping word for word.
2. Going over sight words: Even the sight words they have learned so far. The more they see them, the more they use them in their daily reading. Your child has more than likely yelled out once or twice, "I SEE A SIGHT WORD!" This is just the beginning! A list of the sight words that can be printed off at any time is below this section.
