Reflections from Elder's Desk
Tiger administrators observed various Career & Technical Education classes this past week, and we were in awe of what we noticed. We saw students creating fall centerpieces, welding metal, and students learning about the stock market. More importantly, the interactions between our students were impressive. I heard students soliciting feedback from other students, modeling various skills, and applying their learning at a higher level. Clearly, our students were involved, committed, challenged and proud to show off their work. As students visited with me about their plans after high school, I thought about the various experiences that we provide for our students, and it made my heart happy! Moreover, the CTE program at AMCHS offers 14 of 18 certifications that students can earn while enrolled within College Station ISD.
Without a doubt, our students are blessed to have such dedicated educators to enhance their talents and skills. Thank you, CTE for sharing your passion, expertise, and your commitment to help our students be career-ready!
