Local Heros
This week we celebrated Mona Vosough. We appreciate her dedication to Parsons ES, our teachers and students.
Thank you Sharon and Landa for sharing the new Safari Montage resource on Tuesday morning!
It is with sincere appreciation that I thank you for all of your work and preparation for STEM Night. Our families were so thankful and pleased with the event. The attendance was wonderful and you could see and feel the enthusiasm of the students. Without you, the night would not have been a success.
We are sending four finalist to the GCPS Regional Science Fair. Michaela has done a fantastic job walking our 5th grade students through the process and providing guidance in preparing their projects. Thank you also to those of you who took the time to serve as judges.
Student Safety
I can't quite describe the alarming feeling of becoming aware a student is not accounted. We need the assistance of EVERYONE in keeping our students safe. These are practices that we must implement consistently. Thank you ahead of time to those who are already doing this.
Please continue to do the following:
*Stand at your door in the morning. Every additional adult eye helps to monitor student behavior and increase student safety.
*Have students travel with a buddy if they are not traveling with the class.
*Please make sure an adult is always present in the classroom with students. If you need to leave your room, have another adult stand between the two rooms, if you share a door with another classroom, or call the office for an administrator to assist with coverage.
*Please do not leave children in the halls working without direct adult supervision.
Thank you for everything you do each and everyday to keep our students safe.
