Congratulations Mrs. Roman & Mrs. Zay!
Traci Zay has recently been recognized by Cary Sikes for exemplifying the following component(s) of the SPS mission in their work.
- Engaging - Relevant - Personal
Recognition Details:
Traci Zay has done an outstanding job of serving as Math Club Sponsor at Sequiota. She has worked hard to ensure Sequita students were prepared for MoCTM Math Contest. Three of the students in her team moved on to the next level and will be competing on March 10 at SBU in Bolivar. In addition, Traci is giving up the first day of Spring Break to attend the contest with her students. Traci's commitment to her student is an example of providing engaging, personal and relevant experiences for SPS students. Sequiota is fortunate to have a dedicated teacher of the caliber of Traci Zay.
Katharine Roman has recently been recognized by Cary Sikes for exemplifying the following component(s) of the SPS mission in their work.

Recognition Details:
Kathy Roman has done an outstanding job of working with Traci Zay as Math Club Sponsor at Sequiota this year. Her dedication to students is obvious by the hours she puts in for her students. Due in large part to her and Traci's work 3 Sequiota students will be participating in Regional Math Contest on March 10. Thanks Kathy for going above and beyond.
Our Elite Feet Tribe is hoping to host a Sequiota 5k Fun Run & are looking for a sponsor!
Sequiota 5K/1 Mile Fun Run
I would love to have your business participate as a sponsor for the Sequiota 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. This event will raise money to install a much needed drinking fountain on our playground. Your sponsorship will help cover the costs of organizing this event, including the purchase of t-shirts for all race participants, awards, and timing set-up fees. Any additional money received from sponsors will be put toward our fundraising goal. Any business that donates $100 or more will have their logo placed on the back of the race t-shirt.
If you have any questions regarding this event or if would like to participate as a sponsor, please contact me at blgriffin@spsmail.org or at 417-523-5413.
Thank you,
Bobbie Griffin

Sequiota Elementary
Sequiota is a hidden treasure on the southeast side of Springfield! Over the last 50 years, Sequiota has changed in appearance but the values remain the same. We recently gathered to celebrate 50 years of education, success, community and family! Sequiota is a school where students come first and are at the heart of every decision made. Sequiota is home to some of the BEST families in Springfield! Sequiota would not have the ability to do all that it does without the support of our PTA. The Sequiota PTA truly has the students best interest at heart and serves as a huge foundation of Sequiota Elementary School. If you are looking for a school with a small community feel, you have come to the right place. At Sequiota, we are not just a school, we are a family that supports one another and collaborates to provide the BEST education possible for our students.
