A Note from the Principal
Next Thursday, April 6th is field day! All field day activities will take place at the Alden Bridge field. Please make sure you sign and return the permission slip that was sent home for your child to participate.
Parents are encouraged to volunteer and help with stations. If you are interested, please sign up at the link below. If you are volunteering, you will need to stop by the front office to pick up your badge.
If you plan on visiting but not volunteering please sign up at the pre registration link here. Bush Staff will be giving out badges for parents and families who have pre registered at the park entrance. If you do not pre-register we will have to verify that you are the parent/guardian of a student. This could take a while, so please try your best to pre-register in advance. (You might want to remind your friends and neighbors!)
Please keep in mind that you will not be allowed to enter the campus during field day. Students will also not be allowed to leave with parents without being checked out. After field day, all students will return to their classrooms. If you choose to sign them out, you will have to do so at the front office.
Please see the field day times and lunch changes below.

Summer Move A Possibility?
If you currently have plans to move over the summer please contact our registrar, Stacey Randall - (srandall@conroeisd.net or 936-709-1610). There will be a Summer Mover Form sent to you via your child. We ask that you complete it and send it back to school. If some of the information is not known, we can update via email as needed. This will help in planning for the next year. If you are a fourth-grade parent, and your child will not be attending Mitchell Intermediate, I will let Mitchell know of the possible summer move.
Summer GT Testing Referral Window
The referral window for summer Gifted and Talented testing will be open April 3-28. You may refer your student for summer testing during this time. If your student participated in the Spring testing (2nd Grade CogAT or Spring Testing), they may not participate in this round of testing.
Summer testing information:
Tuesday, May 30-Thursday June 1
8:00-11:00 AM at Bush Elementary
*Students must be present all three days to participate
If you are interested in having your student test during the summer, please pick up a referral form from the front office.

Bond Planning Committee Updates
Many parents have asked questions about the bond planning committee. I thought the
district's website could better answer the questions. Check it out: 2023 Bond Planning Committee
CISD Cars & Coffee
Join us for Conroe ISD’s first Cars & Coffee on Saturday, April 15, from 8:00-11:00 AM
at Woodforest Bank Stadium. Roll-in is from 7:30-8:00 AM. Food trucks and vendors on site. This free event is hosted by The Woodlands HS Automotive Enthusiasts Club.
Important Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
We need your help abiding by traffic code to ensure a safe drop off and dismissal for our students. There are several concerns related to safety that need to be addressed.
- When leaving the parking lot, you are required to make a right turn on Crownridge
- Utilize cross walks and please ensure that your children are utilizing the crosswalks
- Please follow speed limits
- Do not make u-turns on Crownridge
- If you are parking at the Church, please park in approved parking spaces
- Please do not drop off your students on Crownridge, you are welcome to park at the Church and walk your child across the street using the cross walks
- Please do not park in the Bush parking lot and walk your child across the street, this slows down the car rider line
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Transportation Changes
Transportation changes must be made in writing before 2:00 PM. We cannot accept transportation changes by phone. To submit a transportation change, you may send a written note to the front office with the following information:
- the date
- your child's full name
- homeroom teacher
- bus number (if applicable)
- your signature
If an emergency arises, you may send an email to bush@conroeisd.net. The e-mail must include all of the above information and must be received before 2:00 PM. If you submit a transportation change by email, it must go to the email address referenced above. Teachers do not check their email regularly throughout the day, so transportation changes should not be emailed directly to the teacher. Please send a new note for each day the change occurs; we cannot accept notes for multiple days or with multiple changes. District policy states that a student may only ride the bus they are registered to ride; students may not have a transportation change to ride a different bus.
