"Growing Tomorrow's Leaders Today"
A Note from Principal Landgrave....
Great News on our Winter MAP testing...
In a time when many schools are seeing the negative effects from the pandemic in their test scores, I am pleased to announce that our Kindergarten through Eighth Grade have seen an IMPROVEMENT in their test scores.
The entire school’s percentage are as follows:
In Math we saw an increase of 1% overall
Our Reading scores remained constant
And our Language Arts scores increase 4%!!!!
March 1st is the cutoff for in-school payment of your discounted registration fee. As a reminder, every current family has been automatically enrolled for the 21/22 school year. As a convenience, if your payment is not received by the office on the 1st of March, the $100 fee will be added to your SMART account on March 8th. For more information on our continuous enrollment, please check out Mrs. Bateman's Enrollment section below.
If you know a family who is looking for a new school. Have them call the school office. If the family enrolls and attends BIA beginning the first day of school you will receive $100 off a month's tuition during the third trimester. (The recommended family must be in attendance the first two trimesters of next year.)
Bethesda International Academy has an allotted amount of funds set aside for 2021-22 Tuition Assistance. By the end of next week, a link will be available for the online SMART AID application. Please do not delay in applying, as funds will be approved as applications arrive.
Good News! More than half of the BIA staff have received a Covid vaccination and are days away from receiving their second. The remaining staff are in line to get theirs shortly. Our goal is to have everyone fully vaccinated by spring break!

NEW.....The BIA Family Small Business Marketplace
Our goal is to support our BIA family businesses, and one of the best ways we can do that is by advertising who you are and what you do, to our school community and friends. What do we ask in return? Nothing. We want your family businesses to be successful and understand that our current times have made that difficult. Have a business you'd like to advertise? Send your information to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will feature a different business each week and keep a running list of businesses for easy reference. Let's support each other...We are all in this together.
