Awareness
I want to share with you an issue that is being discussed in our community. This is not something I am seeing here at Glenn; however I do like to keep parents in the know. A social media challenge targeting children and young adults called the “Momo Challenge,” has created concern. The purpose of this letter is to make you aware of this challenge, and urge you to monitor your children’s use of social media and the Internet. As a district, we are taking steps to make it more difficult for students to access this information. At school this is not something we are bringing attention to, but in the event that students talk about this we will be encouraging students to talk with their parents. Here is a link on Internet safety for children. https://www.parenting.com/gallery/social-media-monitoring-kids?page=2
