Week 9
With the three day week, we will pause Frog Street and pick it back up next week when we have a full week.
So next week, when we start back with Frog Street, our second week in our Family and Friends Theme focuses on My Relatives, or their extended families. We will be talking about our grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.
Our Vocabulary this week: siblings, father, mother, brother, sister
Photo discussion cards: reading, family, family #2
For this week we will stick with last week's letters: C, c, E, and e.
For math we are starting to talk about the size and sound of different things; using words like gigantic, large, loud, medium, small, and soft.
The kiddos have loved our new calm down strategy, Balloon breathing. They like making the sound the balloons make when you let the air out.
To do Balloon breathing we place our hands on top of our head and lock our fingers together. Breathe in deeply as we raise our hands over our heads like we are filling a balloon. Breathing in a few times, before letting the air out and lowering their arms. Repeat as many times as needed to help calm down.
