Welcome Back
Principal News
I want to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year at Knickrehm Elementary! The summer has gone by quickly, but we are excited to have students and families return. Our theme this year is "Oh the places you will go".
I am excited to share that Knickrehm has been busy getting some upgrades this summer including new heat/air system and new classroom lights.
This year we will be using Smore, Messenger, Peachjar, Facebook, and the school website for communication. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook, have updated information in Synergy, and view Messenger emails/texts for all the up to date information.
Please see below for upcoming family events, so that you can get them on your calendar.
See you soon,
Mrs. Bentley

New End Time
This year students will have an end of day time at 3:05. Students must be picked up by 3:15.
Dress Code
GIPS attire guidelines exist to recognize that our schools and community partners require a more respectful attire than what is sometimes worn on social media and in the community outside of GIPS. Respectful guidelines include but are not limited to:
- All students must be covered from mid-thigh to top of chest in clothing that covers all undergarments
- Items that cover the head, neck, or face are not permitted - other than district required mask, approved religious attire, or protective hair coverings specific to policy 8455
- For grades 6-12, school issued ID must be made visible on the upper torso
All students, parents, and staff are responsible for implementation of the attire guidelines in GIPS. Students violating the attire guidelines will be asked to change their clothing before continuing in school.
Free Lunch & Breakfast
We are happy to share that Knickrehm will continue to offer free breakfast and lunch to all of our students for the upcoming school year.
If your child brings their own lunch and would like to purchase a milk separately, the cost is $.50.
