Welcome Back!

I hope that everyone has had a truly wonderful Spring Break! I hope that you all have had the chance to enjoy your family and friends. More so, I hope you had the opportunity to get some well-deserved time to yourself!

We are on the homeward stretch now and the end of the year will be here before we know it. Third round observations are in full swing and we quickly approaching our EOY benchmark. We need to have a focused determination as we begin back to school. Please pay special attention to friends who are at-risk of failing. We will begin to have retention conferences towards the beginning of May.

Enjoy your evening and we will see you tomorrow morning!

North Carolina Teacher Working Conditions Survey

It looks like April is a free dress-down month for United Way participants that qualified. Our TWC Survey dress-down week will be May 2-6.

Thanks!

The Emotional Environment (TLIM page 76)

Students need to feel:

  1. Safe
  2. Accepted
  3. Successful (they are progressing)
  4. Appreciatied

Students begin to feel insecure if all 4 needs are not being met. Students have tremendous self-confidence when they feel all 4.

Are you building a positive emotional environment for your students?
