Weather permitting the student body will go outside at 11:45 and surround the south and west sides of the building, our fifth graders will procession down the sidewalk at 11:50 on the west side of the building, turn left at Drexel, and proceed toward the front door of the school. Parents are invited to stand along the sidewalk and clap for our 5th graders. All K-4 students will reenter the building and dismiss as usual at 12:00.

MAY is for Mental Health Awareness Month!
While the term “mental health” is one that is not new to most adults; the past two years have brought changes of great impact to society. That said, mental health challenges have risen for all ages, populations, and socioeconomic groups. Mental health needs have resulted in therapists being back logged to the point that appointments often require a long wait.
We have reached a point where we can identify mental health as having reached crises proportions. It is tantamount that we each become aware of what and how our own mental health is driven as well as that of our children who depend upon us. Let us each take particular notice this month of our personal “happiness barometers” so that we can then in turn tune in to that of our children’s.
For further information, please click on this link https://www.nami.org/Get-Involved/Awareness-Events/Mental-Health-Awareness-Month
Let us all take personal stock of “being kind to our minds” and celebrate awareness of mental health this month!
