Wilkshire Class T-Shirts

At Wilkshire, class t-shirts are a big deal and students love wearing them! Teachers encourage students to wear their class t-shirt when we have Bucket assemblies, Fitness Day and other school event celebrations or activities. It's time to order your child's class t-shirt. This year we're making it easy with online ordering, and we're using a local Haslett family owned business - TShirt Goods! TShirt Goods provides quality apparel at reasonable prices, and will donate a portion of its profits back to Wilkshire!

If you do not see your child's classroom t-shirt on this site, please contact the teacher.

Curbside Drop Off and Pick Up

Our curbside service is for safety and convenience. If you are dropping your Wilkshire student off in the morning, drop off begins at 8:00 a.m. Please do not block resident driveways or the bus loop parking area on Academic Way .Please stay in your car at all times. Do not park your car and walk your child in. Our security protocols do not allow parents to walk their children into the building in the morning. We also ask that you move your child's car seat so they can safely exit curbside. Reminder: Quick good-byes make for dry eyes.

For curbside pick up, please place your personalized car tag on your rearview mirror or in the right-hand front passenger window. Car tags are required for curbside pick up. Your safety and the safety of others is paramount! Please remember to stay in your car when picking your child up after school. If your child can not buckle themselves in their car seat, we ask that you pull forward beyond the cones to help them buckle up. Practicing with your child at home will help them understand how to do this.

If you did not receive a personalized car tag for your child, please call the office (517) 339-8208.

Extra Clothes, Please

Accidents happen, especially when student's are in kindergarten and 1st grade. We like to be prepared for wet clothes no matter how it happens. For these occurrences, we are asking parents to pack an extra set of clothes in your child's backpack, including underwear and socks.

Our procedure for wet clothes is to have dry clothes available for student's to change into. We pack up their wet clothes in a plastic bag and send them home. If the clothes are borrowed from Wilkshire, we staple a note to the bag and ask that the items are laundered and returned to Wilkshire.

We do have extra clothes in the office, but we can always use more. If you have children’s clothing you are willing to donate, we will certainly put them to good use!

How to Report an Absence

If your child is going to be absent, late for school or picked up early, you can submit an online notification, which our office staff receives via email. The information is also shared with the classroom teacher, the bus transportation garage, and Kids Connection.

Go to the Wilkshire webpage at https://www.haslett.k12.mi.us/wilkshire and click “Report and Absence” (located on the lower right side of the homepage). Enter your information.

You are always welcome to call the office to report an absence or early pick up as well.
