Friendly Reminder that there is no school this Monday, September 16, 2019. We have Professional Development. Classes resume on Tuesday, September 17, 2019.
Thank you Wolverine Families for supporting our PTC Fun Run to raise money for our school!
If you didn't have a chance to turn in money for our fundraiser there is still time. You can do so in the form of cash or checks. Please make sure to make checks payable to Wiederstein PTC. Don't forget to add the child's name to your check and/or cash donation to ensure your child and their class get credit.
If you know of anyone or a business that would like be a sponsor or donate, please contact our main office and we will get the information to our PTC.
Mr. Chavez kisses a PIG...PTC will be totaling our donations. More information on this soon.

Fall Reading
- Teachers set a reading goal for their class or each student for the 1st 9-week grading period. It may be number of books read or number of minutes read. (Goals will differ with grade levels and may also differ with students.)
- Students reaching their goal for the 1st 9-week grading period will be recognized in the the classroom and in the library and have their star put on the "Wiederstein's Star Readers" bulletin board.
Good to Know about Fall Reading
- Students will also be given reading goals for the 2nd 9-week grading period.
- Monthly reading challenges from the library are optional, but they DO help the 9-week reading goals.
- In December, we will have a "Reading Celebration". ALL students (K-4) will get to attend. We will recognize students who have been successful with their reading.
More Reading Incentives
These are optional, but they DO help with your child's 9-week reading goals.
For more information about the library's reading programs & incentives, please visit the library's webpage.
