History of the State Dining Room
The State Dining Room can seat up to 140 guests. The State Dining Room was sometimes used as a drawing room, office, or even Cabinet Room. It was not until Andrew Jackson came into office that it was officially the "State Dining Room". In 1809 President Madison used the State Dining Room as an art gallery as well as a dining area.
