Principals' Post
Hello Panther Families,
We hope this update finds you and your family safe and healthy. During this stressful time, we want you to know that we are here to support both your child and your family. Academically, our teachers will continue to provide your child with activities to keep them engaged in learning. We appreciate your support in helping continue your child's learning from home. We understand that the technology or resources may be difficult for you to understand. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or to one of us for support. All we expect of our students is that they do the best they can with what they have - and this goes for you too!
Our children are sponges and they look to us as role-models. How we react and respond to stress during this unprecedented time sets the stage for how our children may handle stressful situations in the future. We appreciate you sharing your love, your strength, and your laughter with your child during this stressful time. This helps your child keep a sense of calm, which in turn helps keep their bodies healthy and their brains focused and ready to learn! We recognize that this can be difficult and stressful and hope you are finding ways to decompress. Try your best to find time for yourself. For me, a daily stress reliever has been a walk outdoors with my family. No technology, no talk about work or responsibilities, just time with the people I love. Whatever it may be, we hope you are finding peace and calm amongst all of the uncertainty!
We are here to support you now, and will continue to be here for you and your child when they return to school in the fall. For now, focus on the positive - the time that you have with your family. We miss you all tremendously and look forward to the day we can once again work alongside one another!

Mrs. Kristin Reingruber, Principal

Simple Ways to Protect Your Family - From the CDC
I know it sounds simple, but washing your hands is easy, and it’s one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of germs. Clean hands can stop germs from spreading from one person to another and throughout an entire community—from your home and workplace to childcare facilities and hospitals.
Please take a few moments to speak with your child about these handwashing procedures. We also have displayed the following handwashing reminders in all bathrooms for students and staff:
Five steps to follow every time when washing your hands - Why? Read the science behind the recommendations.
Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold), turn off the tap, and apply soap.
Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.
Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. Need a timer? Hum the “Happy Birthday” song from beginning to end twice.
Rinse your hands well under clean, running water.
Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them.
REMEMBER - the easiest way to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses (like Covid-19) is to follow simple, everyday preventive actions
Avoid close contact with sick people.
While sick, limit contact with others as much as possible.
STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK!
Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze (use your ELBOW or ARM, NOT YOUR HAND)
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands; germs spread this way.
Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with germs.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol based hand rub with at least 60% alcohol.
