From the Middle EMS and ELA
News from the Principal, August 27, 2019
Hello Parents and Families,
Our first few weeks of school are off to a great start!
We have a lot going on every day as students are working hard to learn all the ins and outs of middle school.
In particular, a few items for you to help your students remember...
IDs--students at TEC (All high school and middle school students) must wear their ID on a lanyard every day while in the building. This is a safety measure that is very important. If students lose their IDs, they will need to purchase a new one for $5.00.
Lunchtime--as our students continue to learn the processes for lunch (memorizing ID number, paying for lunch, cafeteria etiquette) our lunch period goes by very fast. We have a solid 20 minutes of time for students to eat: however the lunch line can be very long at times due to these concerns. If you need to add money to your student's lunch account, doing so online will help your student get through the line more efficiently. Also, if you need to pick up your student for an appointment during lunch, please call ahead to make sure we have your student waiting for you in the office. Once lunch and recess start, it is difficult to have the student come to the office in a timely fashion as they are either outside or in the commons. Lunch begins at 12:10 and ends at 12:45.
Thank you for your support...as always, let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
