Safety Patrol
On Friday, September 30, Madison fifth graders received Safety Patrol training from Officer Kowal, Ms. Shanahan, Mrs. Zimmerman, and the fifth grade teachers. The students asked wonderful questions; they were eager to learn how to be good role models and keep younger students safe during arrival and dismissal times. On Monday, October 3, Mrs. Hoff’s Safety Patrol members did a spectacular job greeting students, keeping the car line moving, and holding doors open. We are so proud of our fifth grade Safety Patrol!
Thank You

If you’re a parent, you’ve had a moment–maybe many of them–when you’ve thought, “How did that conversation go so badly?” William Stixrud, Ph.D., and Ned Johnson have 60 years combined experience talking to kids one-on-one, and the most common question they get when out speaking to parents and educators is: What do you say? Johnson and Stixrud show how to engage in respectful and effective dialogue, suggest new ways to handle specific thorny topics, and provide a manual and map for communicating more effectively with your child.
This event is free and open to all. If you are interested in attending, please register in advance by using the registration links.
