Hopkins High School
September 2022
Salutations HHS Community!
What a phenomenal start to the school year! We are excited for our students and their opportunity to have a “normal” school year. We have worked hard to welcome them and encourage them to be part of the HHS culture. We would love to see students involved in extracurricular activities throughout the year, a student section at a sporting event, House activities, or within the smaller environment of their homeroom. Every student deserves to be part of something. Being connected to the school, students, and staff will reap benefits academically and socially.
School helps all students become well rounded individuals and gives them the opportunity to reach their potential and goals. We are fostering a place where all students should feel safe; physically, emotionally, and academically. I look forward to collaborating with parents and our caring staff to support our student’s futures. I encourage a conversation at home about how school is going this year. Set some goals and expectations for the 2022-2023 school year!
Yours in Education,
Ken Szczepanski. HHS Principal.
The Counseling Department
As a counseling department we provide a comprehensive program that includes academic, personal/social, and career development counseling. We do this by providing classroom lessons, small groups and individual counseling. We are not therapists but provide short term support to all students.
Mr. Crook primarily works with students whose last names start with L-Z. Ms. Wagenfuehr primarily works with students whose last names start with A-K.
We are available most days from 7:45am-2:43pm. Feel free to stop by our offices. We are located in the High School Office. We hope it is a place where you can relax, share your concerns and thoughts, ask questions, or plan for your future.
If you are in danger, call 911. If you would like to text with a crisis counselor, text HOME to 741741 at any time. To talk with a crisis counselor, you can dial 988 at any time.
Did you know that College Representatives and the Branches of our Military visit our schools throughout the year.
