Principal's Message
This year has been an exciting one at Coyote Creek. We are using an online reporting tool (Fresh Grade) that gives immediate feedback to parents and we're all working towards the goal of having students more actively involved in their learning. We look forward to seeing as many parents as possible at our parent/teacher conferences in January! (more specific information to follow in the new year)
On behalf of all staff at Coyote Creek, we'd like to wish our families a joyous holiday season and we hope you enjoy your break at this festive time of year. We look forward to seeing our students back safe and sound in January 2016!

Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten Registration starts on Monday, January 18th, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. If you have a son/daughter or know a neighbour or friend who has a child turning five years old in 2016, they are eligible to begin school, September 2016. Help us get the word out, so we can be prepared for our new Coyote Creek students in the fall:)
School Closures
In the event of class cancellations or delayed school openings, the Surrey School District will post information on its website at www.sd36.bc.ca and provide updates to the following radio stations:
CKNW (980 AM)
News 1130 (1130 AM)
CBC Radio (690 AM)
Red-FM (93.1 FM)
Radio India (1600 AM)
Radio Punjab (cable/satellite)
Fairchild Radio (1470 AM)
CHMB (AM 1320)
Class cancellation/delayed opening information may also be broadcast on some local TV station newscasts. Please do not call the radio stations as staffs are very busy receiving updates and preparing newscasts.
Please do not call the schools and district offices. Calling schools and district offices is also impractical since staff members are generally not available to answer telephone calls far in advance of regular school opening time and phone lines typically become congested in any event.
Amendment to School Calendar
The Ministry of Education recently announced a plan to support a Provincial curriculum implementation strategy. As part of this plan, districts have been asked to add 10 hours of non-instructional time (or two days) into this school year.
Please be advised that April 18th, 2016 will be the second Non-instructional Day (NID) that will be added to the 2015/16 school year. November 12th, 2015 was the first day added.
Students will not be attending school on April 18, 2016.
