Roosevelt Weekly Parent Info
Hello Roosevelt families! A few brief reminders for the week--thanks for taking the time to stay in the know:
• Staff Shout Out: Any great stories or staff shout outs that you'd be willing to share with me that I can pass onto the amazing Roosevelt staff at our staff meeting TOMORROW?? The examples that I have been able to share with staff that many of you have shared with me mean a great deal to everyone. If you have something kind to share about a Roosevelt staff member, simply email me at: email@example.com . Thank you so, so much!
• FYI: Looking to get a head start on spring cleaning? Do you have any kids games or fidgets lying around that you'd like to donate? We'd greatly appreciate them for our new Scarlet Mentoring Program! Drop them off in the office when you're able.
• Box Tops, Milk Moola, Hy-Vee Receipts: Just a reminder that we collect all of these things in the Roosevelt office. The PTO just recently received $170 from Kwik Trip. Those milk caps add up!! Thank you for your support of the Roosevelt PTO.
• Roosevelt Night At The Museum: This FUN, family event is Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Roosevelt students, along with an adult chaperone, are invited to this event. Students in grades K-2 are encouraged to attend from 5:00-6:30; students in grades 3-5 are encouraged to attend from 6:30-8:00. The Roosevelt PTO knows that your family might have kids in both groups OR that you may not be able to make this schedule work, and that's totally fine. They are just hoping to help reduce the crowd a bit throughout the night. The Roosevelt PTO is in need of 4 volunteers for each hour that night...5:00-6:00, 6:00-7:00, and 7:00-8:00. If you would be willing to help supervise that evening, please send a quick email to Kelsey Bellig at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Climb to Feed Kids
This was a huge success--from raising the funds (over $2000) to successfully climbing to duct taping!! Thank you for your support of this important event!
Mr. B.'s Assistant Coach, Zak, did a great job with the younger students. Keep reading, Raccoons!
January Reading Winners
Kudos to these Raccoons for reading at home thus winning prizes at our January celebration. Keep it up, Raccoons! This could be YOU next month!
