The organizers of CSEF believe in increasing the number of students entering Wisconsin institutions of higher learning with the goal of pursuing a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields. CSEF is primarily run with help from local volunteers.
Participation at CSEF serves to encourage students to explore science and technology and provides them with the opportunity to interact with their peers at the state level and international level and enables them to be recognized for their efforts and accomplishments. Students comeback much inspired, transformed, and well-motivated for pursuing STEM education and careers after participating at ISEF. You can read more about the experiences of students participating at ISEF at https://student.societyforscience.org/intel-isef.
Judging for the category awards as well as all other awards is done by an independent panel of judges comprising of qualified faculty members at UW-Madison. School districts are welcome to nominate judges for the category awards by sending an email to csef.madison@gmail.com
