2017-2018 Scheduling Information
Happy Winter Break! We wanted to send you information on our scheduling process for the 2017-2018 School Year. It is hard to believe, but it is already time for students to choose their classes for next year!
We met with the Class of 2018 & 2019 last week, and will be meeting with the Class of 2020 and 2021 after break, on how the scheduling process will work for next school year. This year, the counselors have set-up a NHS Scheduling Canvas Course for students to work through and help them prepare for their scheduling meeting with their individual counselors.
This particular Canvas Course is a public link, so you can access it like a website, so as a parent..you do not have to go through Canvas to see the material. It is created as a student course, so you will have to view each page to see the information.
At the end of the course, students are able to submit their course request form to their counselor. There are also directions to enter students requests into Power School located on the home page of the course. Students should have both the Course Selection sheet submitted and courses entered in Power School completed by the date listed on their Canvas Course. Counselors will begin meeting with students after winter break to go over their course selections to make sure they are correct and fit their Graduation Plan and Diploma Requirements.

Please note: 8th graders will enter student requests in Power School AT SCHOOL. Current 9th-11th graders will enter in Power School on their own. Requests will need to be entered by February 10th.
