The annual celebration will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Francis Marion University’s Chapman Auditorium. This year's speaker will be Rev. Norman Gamble of New Ebenezer Baptist Church. In December, the ESL class learned about and experienced the Indian culture from Amrutha Raamvishnuraja, one of their classmates.
Eight FCAE Students Earn Forklift Operator Credentials
On Thursday, December 8, eight Florence County Adult Education students earned forklift operator certifications from an instructor at FDTC. In SC, forklift operators are in great demand in the Pee Dee area, and, on average, they make $30,500-$39,000/year. The class lasted all day, but at the end of the day, every student who took the class had passed both the written and hands-on portions of the class, earning a credential.
