White Oak Teacher Supports Courageous LVUSD Student
White Oak third grade teacher Ann Bornhoeft was in the news recently for supporting a courageous student in the LVUSD community who is battling cancer.
Knowing chemotherapy would make it impossible to attend school, Principal Laila Jorns asked for a volunteer to support the young student. Ms. Bornhoeft was quick to step up, and the full story can be found through the following link: CLICK HERE.
Reality Party: Only 30 Tickets Remaining
We have only thirty tickets remaining for the Reality Party on February 8th. A Reality Party is a 30-minute tour through a realistic, simulated teen party exposes the current culture and trends related to alcohol and drugs and is packed with important information parents need to know to help keep their kids safe.
The tour is followed by a 30-minute debrief and discussion, for a ONE HOUR complete event. This incredibly popular event usually sells out. Tickets are available here: CLICK HERE
LIKE Documentary Two Weeks Away: Free Tickets Still Available!
On Tuesday, February 4th at 6:00 PM at the Calabasas High School Performing Arts Center, LVUSD will be hosting a free screening of the award-winning documentary LIKE. LIKE explores the impact of social media on our lives and the effects of technology on the brain. You won’t want to miss this opportunity. The trailer is linked below.
