March Newsletter
Message from Lyman Administrators
Happy Almost Spring!
In addition to the small glimpses of Spring in the past few weeks March, has been a busy month here at Lyman! From wrapping sports seasons, FFA Week, An Evening with the Arts, Senior Project Presentations, The Musical, Sprit week and of course baby lambs Lyman students and staff have been working hard and keeping busy. We are very excited to be able to share some of these events with you in this newsletter. Please see the information below regarding Senior Project.
Senior Project Pathways
This past week Mr. Morello, who coordinates our senior project, met with juniors to prepare them for the start of their senior project. Juniors will be switching PAWS rooms at the start of the Quarter 4. Once their monitors have been assigned this will be announced and changed in PowerSchool. Please use the link below to review the four different senior project pathways at Lyman. Juniors should be thinking about which pathway they want to take.

Student Spotlight
College and Career Readiness
- Juniors will be taking the SATS in school on March 23rd. Students can access study materials through Khan Academy by visiting Satpractice.org.
- Counselors are meeting individually with Juniors to talk about post high school planning and the college application process.
- College bound Juniors should be researching schools and narrowing down the list they plan to apply to as Seniors. The best way to do this is to visit campuses. Students should involve their parents in their search process. April break is a great time to visit college campuses as college classes will still be in session. Any college visit that takes place during a school day, will be treated as an excused absence. Parents just need to call the main office to report it.
- The powerschool portal for class registration closed on March 7th. It is not too late to change or add course selections for next year. Please see your counselor to make any changes or with any questions.
- Seniors should be researching scholarship opportunities. Here are some helpful sites for scholarships:
