Rountree Report
October 19, 2018
I always think food first--who doesn't?
You are preparing report cards and preparing for parent teacher conferences, in addition to running your classroom and all the other tasks each day brings. I want you to know I recognize what a busy, tiring time of year this is. Thank you for your continued efforts to do what is best for kids! You not only teach your students but you also inspire them! There are multiple demands, policies, procedures, curriculum guides etc--but what is most important is to remember you are here to love kids and teach them! Let that be your focus.
Reminders
Data confidentiality--A couple of things have come up recently that I wanted to share. For those of you with access to standards mastery this has given you admin access which allows you to see more scores than just your students. It is a breech of confidentiality to share scores of children not in your class with others--for example, sharing scores of a kid not in your class with their parent.
In addition, chromebook history on a kiddo should not be checked unless you have a reasonable suspicion to assume they are looking at something they should not be. If you are unsure about this bring it to me and I will handle it.
Collective I-ready Goal
Thank you for completing the Canvas discussion around I-ready growth goals. Our desire is for all of our kids to be on grade level as this is what will set them up for future success. Our building collective goal is to move 64 kids to grade level in Math and 57 in Reading. This is aggressive but totally possible! Let's do it and celebrate with breakfast! Make sure you are setting goals with kids and sharing with parents. This will make a difference in reaching our goal!
