District Survey

The district is requiring that all students in grades 3-12, certified staff including Instructional Specialists, and families (voluntary) participate in the Climate and Culture survey program from the IDOE. The survey window opens tomorrow and runs through Friday, March 15th. The links are below. It is a district expectation that all 3rd and 4th grade students, certified staff, and instructional specialist complete the survey during the window. In order for me to monitor completion within the window please email me and let me know when you have completed the survey. Additionally, third and fourth grade teachers should let me know when students have completed surveys. Thank you in advance.

Safety Drills

Great job during the internal lockdown. Renee was the "chosen one". She did a great job! During the drill classes were quiet, shades were pulled, and doors where locked. The building was cleared in under 3 minutes. We had a total of 2 fatalities (one being a guest teacher). Great work using your slack app. Remember this should be used by all staff members. This is a great way to communicate with the whole staff. In case you are every the "chosen one" you are expected to contact the front office immediately and give a description of the perpetrator. Remember classroom doors need to be closed and locked at all times. Your students are doing a fantastic job not opening doors until they have adult permission. I am super proud of the work you are doing to keep our students safe!

IREAD tutoring begins Wednesday

Tutoring Guidelines


Please let me know if you are interested in Tutoring for IREAD. I currently have 6 (Trenee, Gwen, Keegan, Lauren, Janet, and myself) tutors and need 2 more in order to keep the groups small. Tutoring will begin on February 20th and end on March 13th (Monday and Wednesday from 3:50PM - 4:50PM). Certified staff will make $27 dollars an hour. Classified staff will earn $12.50 an hour. All welcome!


A list of students will be sent to teachers. Please send all tutoring students in 3rd grade to the library each Monday and Wednesday during the tutoring window.

Our PLC Journey...

The PLC process is a never-ending process in which educators commit to working together to ensure higher levels of learning for every student.


We will achieve this outcome by learning together about the best practices proven to increase student learning, applying what we have learned, and using evidence of student learning to make decisions and revisions in practice to help even more students learn at higher levels.


Four Critical Questions


  1. What do we want our students to know and be able to do?
  2. How will we know when they have learned it?
  3. What will we do when they haven't learned it?
  4. What will we do to extend the learning when they already know it?


When we meet in our collaborative teams, we will focus on these four critical questions.
