Valentin Yudashkin is one of Russia's most famous designers. After high school Yudashkin enrolled himself into the Moscow industrial college majoring in clothes design and makeup. Yudashkin's first collection came out in 1987 when Russia was finally opening up to new things such as art and clothes.
Yudashkin's inspiration comes from Russian folklore he grew up hearing and books. Each piece of work he has done he says has a story behind it. Valentin also likes to turn traditions and paintings into his designs. As you can see in the picture to the right he took his inspiration from a painting and this collection was later placed in the Historical Museum in Moscow. Being the first famous couture designer in Russia Yudaskin has a lot to be proud of.
