Fairfield Elementary School Update
June 27, 2022
The Last Week of School
We have had an incredible June at Fairfield and have crammed so much learning and excitement into the final month. We have hosted guest speakers and workshops, invited parents into some classes for celebrations, participated in the Pride Parade, highlighted Indigenous Peoples Day, went on field trips, loved the Fun & Play Day, hosted a community barbecue and celebrated the grade 8 graduates, just to name a few! We did all of this while having spirit days, special lunches, and still learning! It has been a wonderful month in school and we are so glad that after a couple of years of not having a June in school, that we have been able to do all of these things this year.
We wish all of our graduates well as they enter secondary school! It was great to celebrate them last night at graduation - they looked amazing! Check out the picture below!
A huge thanks to the School Council for all of their efforts this year, and especially this month as they have done so much to bring the community together and to celebrate Fairfield. What a great group of parents and we are so thankful for you!
We wish all Fairfield families the very best for a happy summer break! We hope you enjoy the outdoors, some good books, and that you make memories that last forever.
Wednesday June 29th is Red & White Spirit Day!
Let's Celebrate Canada!

Sign up for School-Day: Permissions & Payments!
Limestone is excited to offer our families a new secure portal to complete permissions and payments online. With School-Day: Permissions & Payments, you will be able to complete permission forms and payments from any web browser using your SmartPhone, tablet, laptop or desktop.
Through this new online portal, you will be able to pay for items such as:
· Field trips
· Sporting events
· Student cards/athletic fees
· Hot lunch (where applicable)
The new easy-to-use portal will remove the risks associated with sending money to school with students, the frustration of lost or missing permission forms, and significantly reduce the amount of paper our school consumes.
The School-Day Introduction Letter came home last week with your child. Use the instructions in it to sign up for a School-Day account at www.school-day.com and connect to your child’s events and activities.
With your support, we look forward to a successful implementation of this practical application!
