Year 5 Newsletter
Term 2 - Friday 31st March 2017
Welcome to the Year 5 Newsletter
Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe that we have come to the end of the second term! It has been another busy one and we are very proud of the learning that has taken place and the effort the children have consistently put in.
It was great to see so many of you last Friday during 3-way Conferences. Thank you for taking the time to come in and share in your child's learning. The feedback from the day was very positive and the children really enjoyed showing you all their hard work from the year so far.
This week has been jam packed with a visiting author; Green Week activities; a parent talk; a class assembly; as well as putting the finishing touches to our current unit of inquiry. Read on for details of the highlights!
As always, thank you for your continued support with your children's learning and we wish you a relaxing and chocolate-filled Easter break!
Kind regards,
The Year 5 Team

Green Week
This week has been Green Week here at Kennedy. The children have taken part in competitions all week and all made their own pledges about how they can be more eco friendly.
The Plastic-free Seas organisation gave a talk to the children on Thursday morning and the week culminated in a 'Dress eco day', as well as the annual Kennedy Trashion Show. Well done to everyone who took part and treating us to some amazing displays of trash fashion!
