The Beginning

On October 12, 1492, a Portuguese explore name Christopher Columbus landed on an island that was soon named San Salvador. During this time period Columbus’ landing was first known contact between the old world and the new world. Hundreds of years later Columbus Day has become an official federal holiday in the united state in 1937. It is celebrated every year during the second week of October.

The lost souls

Hundreds of years and we still haven't admitted to the crimes that had been committed. We celebrated the day European countries recognize their was life on the other half of world, but in exchange we forget about the lost souls that traded their life for fame.
