The Italian culture is steeped in the arts, family, architecture, music and food. Home of the Roman Empire and a major center of the Renaissance, culture on the Italian peninsula has flourished for centuries.

Religious Practices

Italy is a Christian country, 88 percent of the population belonging to the Roman Catholic Church, although only around a third of these regard themselves as 'active' in religious terms.
