A message from our new member in the Mustang team, Brent Patterson, 7th grade Social Studies Teacher:
I grew up in Northern Florida and went to Culinary School in Atlanta and then decided to make a big move out west in 2004. After working in restaurants for a while, I decided that I wanted a change in my career and went back to school to get my degree to become a teacher. I graduated from PSU with my Master's in Education in 2016. CPS was my first teaching job and I am grateful to remain in the district and join your team. In this photo is myself, my wife Myllisa, my 5 year old Tulley, and Ailish who is 3. We love the outdoors and everything that comes with it! We are saving up for a ski boat as we live close to the Willamette in West Linn.

A message from our new member in the Jays team, Susan Wentland, 7th grade Social Studies Teacher:
Hello! I am excited to join the staff at CMS! I have been teaching at Centennial School District for 23 years. All of those years were spent at Centennial Learning Center/Centennial Park. Through the years I've taught 7-12 grades in Social Studies, Language Arts, Math and even Health! Prior to teaching in Centennial, I coordinated the Secondary Alternative Program in Estacada and I have also taught at Parkrose High School.
I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in History from Lewis and Clark College where I also received my Masters of Arts in Teaching! Although that was a number or years ago, I have participated in numerous continuing education courses focusing on developing new ways to teach students. Always grow!
At home I enjoy spending time with my spouse, cooking, being outside, and playing with my English Cream Goldendoodle, Wally.
