EASTER
Jesus is Alive!
I kind of just want to say "Jesus is Alive!" (read that in my super excited voice) and throw up some praise hand emojis because really, are there any words better than that?! This is why we celebrate, this is why we serve, this is why we live our lives with hope, and this is the truth we're teaching kids this Easter! Take some time to read the account of the resurrection in Luke 22-24, this is the one we're sharing with kids during Easter services.
As I was reading back through those chapters, I felt really prompted that certain points of this scripture is what I want to be praying over us this Easter.
Join me in praying these things over our ministry this Easter:
- Peter went away amazed at what had happened. I pray that's how we enter into church over Easter- amazed at what Jesus has done for us personally and serving out of that overflow!
- The men on the road to Emmaus talked about how they felt their hearts burning within them when Jesus spoke to them and that's how they should have recognized that it was Him! My prayer is that kids hearts would burn within them with the truth they get to hear this Easter. Whether they make a decision to make Jesus the leader of their life now or later, that this would be a time that they can look back on and say "weren't our hearts burning within us?"
- After Jesus appeared again to the disciples, He opened their minds to understand the scriptures. I'm praying that Jesus would open kids' minds to understand his word & hearts to love Him!
- He urged the disciples to stay in the city until they were empowered from on High. This is when the Holy Spirit fell in Acts. For us, I'm praying that we slow down and wait on the Spirit as we're serving. That we get to listen to the words He's prompting us to speak and the individual He's putting in our path for us to see!

#ForSC Is On April 14
Our next #ForSC Day is on Saturday, April 14. Our neighbors may not know Jesus, but our actions show who He is. We love an invisible God by showing visible love to our neighbors.
On #ForSC Day, NewSpring partners with local nonprofits to serve our neighbors across South Carolina. Working together, we can make a difference in the communities where we have campuses and build relationships that go beyond a one-day event.
