Federal Programs
September Open House and Federal Programs Updates
Each school in the district benefits from Title II and Title IV federal funds. At Renovo Elementary/Bucktail Middle School, Title II funds support a Classroom Size Reduction teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. Title II funds are also used for professional development across the entire district. Title IV funds support our schoolwide positive behavior activities, safe and healthy school initiatives, department and program leaders for all content areas districtwide, and technology initiatives.
All elementary schools in the Keystone Central School District receive Title I funds.

Family Connection
The start of the school year can be a stressful transition for children and families. Summer often means late nights, sleeping in, and altered meal schedules. Returning to school or starting school for the first time means adjusting to earlier bedtimes, earlier morning alarms, and organizing the start of the day to get to school and work on time.
What can families do to ease the transition?
Create a predictable routine for morning wake up, meals, homework, and regular bedtime.
Look at your schedule for each week and look ahead for the following week's activities.
Prepare the night before for what to wear, breakfast, snacks, etc.
Try to stay calm and relaxed during times of stress for the child.
Talk with your child about what to expect and about how to handle big feelings of missing family during the school day.
What can families do if they have concerns about transitions?
Remind yourself that you are doing a great job and that stress from transitions is usually a phase.
Communicate with the school counselor to talk about concerns and solutions.
