Not Just SPED
Science & Awards
Patricia Stirling Veteran RSP Teacher at Frank Ledesma
The use of Moby Max Curriculum continues to help me find and fix learning gaps with adaptive, differentiated learning for the students receiving support services in subjects including Math, ELA, Science, as well, as students that use the Learning Center, which is open to General Education students.
The students are making considerable progress. My students that have the most challenging learning needs, students that are more than 2 years below grade level across ELA and Math subjects, are demonstrating the most dramatic progress. The Moby Max Curriculum Program provides me the opportunity to efficiently generate the data in order to give each student direct feedback with immediacy.
The students have daily drills in their curricular areas of need, for each student. The student’s IEP goals are individually identified and progress made toward a specific goal, is shared on a regular basis with students. The program provides me a visual graph of each student’s progress that I can effectively communicate to the parent(s) and the Gen. Ed. Teacher, and most importantly, to each student!
This school year I have incorporated the Interactive Component of the Moby Max curriculum. The student’s now have the additional opportunity to learn through the use of Fluency Games and Skills Review in a game-like format that effectively engages even the most disengaged student!
The Moby Interactive component is providing my students the opportunity to practice with repetition missed skill areas, as well as demonstrate mastery when lessons are assigned. Also this school year, I am incorporating the use of the Skill Checker component that the Moby Max Curriculum program. The students are able to monitor their own growth in a specific curricular area , through the assignment of a Quick Benchmarker test of skills. Moby Max rewarded our students with a pizza party for their hard work last May. I hope the students with continue to be motivated as they recognize their growth!
