Dear Readington Middle School,
As we conclude 2022, and gear up for our winter break, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all who help make Readington Middle School an amazing place to be. It is amazing that four months of school are nearly complete. As we move into the new year, this is a great time for celebration and reflection.
I am grateful for our amazing teachers and staff at RMS. You come in, each and every day, with a passion and dedication to teach your students and provide them with an excellent education. Thank you for your focus on teaching the whole child and providing our students the opportunity to live up to the mission of RMS.
I am grateful for our parents. I am grateful to you for masterfully doing what I know firsthand is the hardest, most rewarding and joyous job of all. Thank you for entrusting us with your students' school based education.
I am grateful to our community members. We are a community with many gifts and talents and the vast partnerships we have with you all make us all better. Thank you for being willing to share them with us in a collective effort to better our students.
I am grateful to our students. You all have been amazing Vikings these last few months. You have showcased your talents and creativity in a variety of ways. I appreciate how you all work with one another as a community of learners. Thank you for being Readington Middle School.
I want to extend a wonderful wish that you all find the time to be with family and friends over this break. I wish you all a safe and joyous holiday season and a happy, and healthy, new year. So, until next month, please be well and Go Vikings!

RMS Partnership - Girl Scout Troop Tree Planting
A great focus that RMS has is on partnerships and sustainability.
Recently, Girl Scout troops 80151 and 80252, the troops planted 15 trees on the grounds of Readington Middle School. The troops planted silver maple, river birch, grey birch and sweet gum that were left over from the town tree giveaway in the spring.
This project was a few months in the making and the girls did a great job! They did all of the planting, pounding in the stakes and placing the tubes themselves! Each tube has a little net on the top which is to help prevent birds from falling into the tube. You can see the tubes and trees near the ground solar array near the staff parking lot. Thanks to the girls (and their leaders) for being great partners in sustainability!
Troop 80151: Elizabeth Golebiewski, Laura King, Ava Ganguzza, Brooke Tomaino, Camryn Steitz, Raegan Conk, Riley Dacierno, and Zoe Cassidy
Troop 80252: Elle Martoccia, Eyja Morgan Allen, Giordana Grillo, Evelyn Pitts, Jade DeCriscio, Xia Cobb
RMS Barnes and Noble Night: A Marvelous Event
RMS took over the Barnes and Noble in Bridgewater, NJ for an amazing evening with music, games, and trivia! This was the first time since 2019 that this event was held and it was a huge success with over 100 students and their families attending.
Our student music groups performed for the gathered crowd, giving the audience a taste of what to expect during the winter concerts. There was also a riveting game of Marvel Trivia and Pictionary, led by RMS librarian, Ms. Singer! There was even a signature drink available for purchase that evening, a RMS themed drink called the "Foam of Thunder!"
It was a great event and a portion of the proceeds from all sales (if you said the magic word "RMS" at the checkout line) will come back to the RMS library. Thank you Ms. Singer, for putting on a marvelous event!
