Staff Spotlight
Alysha Larsen- Ocean Crest
Ms. Larsen works as our Second Grade educational assistant. She is currently working towards becoming a teacher and hopes to be able to teach at Ocean Crest one day. She loves reading, sewing, and knitting. We have heard she is a fantastic knitter.
Thomas Stroh- 5th grade teacher
Mr. Stroh likes all things science, especially space. He has 5 grandchildren, the youngest is 5 and the oldest is 15. He grew up in Oregon and moved away when he was 12. He loves being back where the water is clean and the air is fresh. His hobbies include collecting rocks, fishing, hiking, and gardening. The weirdest job he has ever had was being a deckhand on an oil rig. Something that may surprise you about Mr. Stroh is he has been to all 48 lower states and lived in 24 of them. His favorite quote is" Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence. Vince Lombardi.
Stephanie Freitag- Special Ed Aide
Stephanie is married to her high school sweetheart, Brian. She enjoys crafting, knitting, sewing, and playing with her cat, Randy. Her best friend Larry and she are avid rock collectors and spend their free time tumbling their findings. Her favorite thing about working at BHS is the staff she gets to learn from every day. Stephanie's favorite quote is" You can't make everyone happy, you're not cheese." Something Stephanie has always wanted to learn to do is play the piccolo! When asked what her weirdest job was, farm schooling her children.

Student Hand Book
Please take some time to review our student handbook with your student. We would particularly like you to remind your student of our expectations with regards to cell phones and appropriate technology use.
Cell Phone Policy
Just a reminder, students are not allowed to have cell phones out during school hours. We require them to be kept off and in their locker or backpack during the day. This includes breaks and at lunch. Please encourage your student to come to the office or their teachers if they have a concern or need help instead of reaching out to you via cell phone during the day. This way we can help make sure that all your student's needs are being met. We have a student phone available in the commons that is always available.
School-wide Pajama Day!
On Friday, January 28th students can come to school wearing their pajamas.
