Welcome Back from Mrs. Crim!

We've had such a great start to our school year! It is wonderful seeing our students in the hallways and working hard in their classrooms. We've been amazed at how well everyone follows our safety procedures for Covid. Students have been doing a great job wearing their masks and staying socially distant at lunch-- we couldn't be more proud of them!

One of the biggest challenges we've faced this school year is not having parents and community members on campus! We will be hosting our first Family Information Night on Tuesday, October 6th at 6:00 PM via zoom. The purpose of this meeting is to connect with our community and provide updates for school events and elearning. You can join the zoom with the following link:

We hope you enjoy this month's newsletter and we look forward to a great year ahead!

Providing the Prescription for Success...

Each summer our school analyzes the past year's student data and determines a new instructional focus for our school. This year, we determined that having a strong focus on Small Group Instruction would be just what we need to fill the learning gaps many students experienced from our remote learning last spring.

This means our teachers are pulling small groups of students in all subject areas to really hone in on the skill students need. Our teachers are doing this for students on campus and even our students who are eLearning.

We have also made it a priority to teach students how to track their own data and to create appropriate goals for their learning. Each student in Kindergarten through 5th grade is tracking their data from classroom assessments and online assessments to see how they are moving forward.

Our Mini-Med Students...

Virtual Speakers

We have already started our year with amazing medical lessons from our partners at USF Health and The University of Tampa Nursing Program. We look forward to continuing #MedicalMonday and #WellnessWednesday lessons for our #DunbarDoctors! Check out the matrix to see what medical topics your student(s) will be learning about this year!
